Each property in the platform is a unique digital item of which no two are the same and no single one can be owned by multiple parties – this is known as a Non-Fungible Token (NFT). The record of an NFT’s ownership is notarized on the blockchain, which acts as a decentralized ledger of transactions, meaning there really is one, and only one, single user owns it. We call that concept true ownership.
Our property to USD partnership with Tilia Inc. (the creators of Second Life), which allows Uplanders to sell their properties for U.S. dollars, is now live for a select group of 100 beta testers. Complete collections: in your Collections Menu, you will find collections that you can strive to complete. Each collection grants you a one-time UPX reward, a neat little badge in your personal profile, and a colored coin in your “UPX Stack” (part of your explorer/avatar). The starting collections are easier to finish, but you’ll find that the more challenging ones involving rarer properties will require you to bargain, negotiate and cut deals with your fellow Uplanders in order to acquire them.
